Ultra-luxury pioneers Jacob & Co. and Bugatti have teamed up again to create a new and extraordinary timepiece with the new Bugatti Tourbillon.

In September 2022, Bugatti privately announced to leading licensing partner Jacob & Co. that it would develop a new hypercar to succeed the Chiron, featuring a new engine, a new design, and unprecedented levels of engineering and luxury. By January 2023, Jacob & Co. visited Bugatti's design studio, where founder Jacob Arabo, CEO Benjamin Arabov and his team collaborated with the Bugatti design team led by Achim Anscheidt and Jan Schmid. Parallel Design

The idea behind the Jacob & Co. Bugatti Tourbillon is to share the same achievements, the same complexity and the same look as Bugatti's latest super sports car. Reflecting the design approach of both brands – rooted in materiality and complexity – this is not about design inspiration, but design fusion. Jacob & Co. has created a watch that looks unique, wears uniquely and functions uniquely; rather, it looks and functions like Bugatti's latest super sports car.

The Bugatti Tourbillon case is Bugatti shaped, measuring 52 x 44 mm and 15 mm thick. The spearhead front grille is flanked by two side radiator air intakes. For a purer and more emotional experience, Caliber JCAM55 has the same architecture as a car engine: its engine block is visible through an opening behind the wheel. The upper crystal offers a panoramic view of the engine block, its sapphire structure, its 16 pistons and the crankshaft below. The sapphire crystal under the case creates a completely transparent effect. The 30-second tourbillon that regulates the movement is the fastest tourbillon ever made by Jacob & Co.

Instrument panel

The instrument panel of the Bugatti Tourbillon is designed like that of a Bugatti super sports car. The left side displays the 30-second flying tourbillon. The sub-dials on the right indicate the power reserve of the movement and engine, the V16 engine block automaton. The central hour and minute sub-dials almost replicate the RPM and speed counters. All three sub-dials are covered by a single piece of sapphire crystal and have a unique shape.

A unique feature in contemporary watchmaking, the Bugatti Tourbillon displays the power reserve of the automaton.
